Julia McCaw, 18, is an artist and writer based nowhere. Though her creative conscience often attracts her to narrative portraiture, Julia makes an effort to stay rhetorically unbound to a single genre, navigating sculpture, painting, photography, and film. A voracious reader, she is now exploring writing creative text of her own, particularly in poetic prose. As an artist, Julia is fascinated by surrealist and contemporary style, and she tends to reflect this interest in her own writing and art.
Artists including Alice Neel, Vivian Maier, Nicolas Gavino, Egon Schiele, Anders Zorn, and Emily Dickinson are other sources of daily inspiration for this student of art.
